In December 2017, SIP Lvse Jiangnan Public Environment Concerned Centre (hereinafter referred to as “PECC”) received a report from the public in Wujiang District, saying that Suzhou Kangquan Precision Machinery Co., Ltd. located at No. 91 Tong’an West Road in Wujiang District, discharged the waste water directly, which seriously affected the living environment and health of local residents.

On December 19th, 2017, PECC’s researchers came to the site for investigation and found that the company’s canteen had no oil fume purifier, and the oil was not separated, and the kitchen waste was not professionally treated, and all of it was discharged directly into the river. The scene was in a mess. At the same time, the enterprise was found to have two discharge ports on the fence, and the water near the discharge port had turned milky white, and the length of the polluted river was about 200 meters. According to the surrounding residents, the two ports discharged sewage from time to time. This river has been polluted for several years, but there has been no response to the repeated reports. The scene is shown in the picture below.

On December 20th, 2017, PECC submitted “Research Report on Water Pollution of Suzhou Kangquan Precision Machinery Co., Ltd.” to the environmental protection department.
Wujiang Environmental Protection Bureau replied quickly after receiving the research report, and gave a written reply on December 22nd, 2017. The details are as follows:

On February 1st, 2018, the staffs of PECC went to Wujiang to follow up on the treatment of the polluted river and found that the pollution of the river has been basically improved and the river is being restored. The scene is shown in the picture below.
