On May 29th, 2018, SIP Lvse Jiangnan Public Environment Concerned Centre (hereinafter referred to as “PECC”) found a “yellow river” under the Yangjiabang Bridge on Hongxiang Road in Xinwu District, Wuxi City, and the water body of the river turned yellow in a large area. According to local residents, this situation has been going on for two or three days. The on-site situation is shown in Figure 1-1 and Figure 1-2:

The staffs of PECC immediately reported the pollution problem on Weibo. The report is shown in Figure 2.

On May 30th, 2018, the Environmental Protection Bureau of Xinwu District in Wuxi City dried up the river, and the discharge outlet was exposed to the water surface. And the on-site situation is shown in Figures 3-1 and 3-2. At present, the Environmental Protection Bureau of Xinwu District in Wuxi City is conducting further investigation on the pollution source.
